Investment
Jebsen Shipping Partners emerged from the fusion of four ship management families, Jebsen, Becker, Boehe and Kahrs each contributing unique expertise acquired, collectively, in more than 300 years of hands-on spirit and passion – constituting our strong foundation for our high standard ship and investment management.
Our newest project, which we are pursuing in cooperation with our partner company Lubeca Marine, involves several brand-new 5200 dwt mini-bulkers. Thanks to a custom design, the ships feature maximum fuel efficiency while at the same time providing the greatest possible cargo capacity.
The vessels will be delivered starting at the beginning of 2023.

At Jebsen Shipping Partners we combine generations of tradition with modern innovative thinking
MF Jebsen Group
MF Jebsen Group was founded in 2002 based on a reorganization of the Jebsen family-owned companies and benefits from a long history in Asia since Jacob Jebsen and Heinrich Jessen originally started their trading business in Hong Kong back in 1895.
The principal entity of the group is MF Jebsen International Limited, a holding company headquartered in Hong Kong. The Executive Chairman, Markus F. Jebsen, is a direct descendant of the Jebsen family, which captained vessels plying the trade routes between Europe and Asia during the 18th and 19th centuries. The group invests in dynamic management teams and businesses with long-term growth potential. We set the highest ethical standards for individual behavior and corporate actions for our investments. Among other services, MF Jebsen Group's current business and investment portfolio includes freight forwarding services, insurance brokerage services, shipping investments, travel services, and venture capital.
Becker Ship-
Management
Management
The Becker family has been in the shipping business for more than 115 years and has evolved into a powerful and professional shipping company. Now in its third and fourth generation, Captain Bernd Becker, engineer Arnd Becker, and technicalexpert Jan-Jacob Becker currently chart the company's course.
Currently, the company has two vessels under management. Since 1967, the shipping company Becker has gained experience in the design, construction, and operation of container ships. The last five vessels were newbuilds and optimized for all standard container dimensions, in particular for transporting 45-foot containers.
Lubeca Marine
The shipping company's origins are 'ship management', beginning in 1988 with the founding of Lubeca Marine Management (HK) Ltd. in Hong Kong by Captain Klaus S. Boehe, his partner Steven Cheung, and a shipping company from Lübeck. The company purchased its first ship in 1995 - a tweendecker with derricks and a deadweight tonnage of 15,000 tdw. Additional second-hand vessels were acquired in the following years, in which the company concentrated on geared tweendeckers of up to 5,000 tdw. Lubeca has managed the entire nautical/technical support of all its maritime vessels since 2000. In addition, all crew staffing of ships is carried out in-house.
The Lubeca fleet consists of multi-purpose freighters, which have been put into service all over the world. Under the leadership of Jan-Peter Boehe and Max Gottwald, the shipping company currently manages an active fleet of seven ships.
Kahrs Bereederung
Carrying on 145 years of family tradition, fourth-generation Captain Jan Kahrs is now at the helm of Kahrs Bereederung.
With his shipping company of the same name he currently manages his privately owned vessel, a B170 containervessel. Thanks to experience in ultra-modern feeder vessels, a well-trained crew, and excellent charterer references, the company is a globally established player in the maritime industry.
